Welcome to Sarasota, Florida's next historic bed and breakfast, Sweet Mango Manor. We would like to thank all those who have encouraged us to undertake this new venture of opening a bed and breakfast in Sarasota, Florida. This project started nearly eight years ago when Kittie and I were having a discussion of our future plans and how I always wanted to run a B & B sometime in the future. So thanks to Kittie's memory of that conversation and her foresight of purchasing the 12th Street property, we are nearly ready to share our new venture with the public. And after working in the hospitality business for a combined 70 years, we have a good feeling we will be successful Sarasota bed and breakfast innkeepers.
On November 18, 2008, we completed the process with the Sarasota City Commission for a major conditional use change for the opening of this historic Florida lodging to be known as "Sweet Mango Manor Bed and Breakfast". We now can move into the next phase which will be licensing with the State of Florida.
This web site will be continuously updated as we move forward with the project. We are looking forward to meeting, entertaining and conversing with our future guests from all over the world.
